Lake Michigan Credit Union announced the hiring of John Harpst as vice president of mortgage strategy. He has over 30 years of experience managing sales and loan operation teams, including residential, commercial, and consumer. Vice President of Mortgage Strategy is a new position at LMCU. Mr. Harpst will be responsible for strategic initiatives and special products within LMCU’s Mortgage division, with the goal of improving operational efficacy, ensure regulatory compliance and help to continually improve service to our members. LMCU has 59 branch locations overall, including 15 in southwest Florida.

Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Co., P.A., a public accounting and consulting firm, has welcomed two new senior associates to its tax and accounting division. Kristine Tacca is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Her areas of expertise include individual and business taxation, tax planning, and tax preparation, and she is certified as an enrolled agent. Mark Oefinger is a graduate from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting. His areas of expertise include individual and business taxation, tax planning, and tax preparation. He is also a certified Quick- Books online and desktop pro-advisor.

Premier Sotheby’s International Realty announced that four new sales professionals have affiliated with the company’s Naples area sales gallery locations: Elaine Betzios in the Vanderbilt office; Faye Fletcher and Jeremiah Norman in the Park Shore office; and Jorie Koch in the Bonita Springs office. “We are very happy to welcome these new sales professionals to Premier Sotheby’s International Realty,” said Budge Huskey, president and chief executive officer. “Their real estate industry experience, deep knowledge of the Naples region and commitment to excellent service lead to making customers for life.” Headquartered in Naples, Premier Sotheby’s International Realty has over 1,400 professionals and employees in over 40 locations throughout Florida and North Carolina.

The City Council of Bonita Springs has appointed Ruth Condit to the Historic Preservation Board. The board identifies, evaluates and preserves historic areas, structures and buildings. It also offers technical and financial assistance to incentivize preservation practices in older residential and commercial neighborhoods. Ms. Condit has been a member of The Victorian Society in America, the Easton, Pennsylvania Historical Society and The Montclair-Newark Junior League’s Preservation Montclair project.

The Laser Lounge Spa announced the recent addition of Sophia Arias to its team. She will serve as the front desk receptionist for its Estero location, which operates as the headquarters for the Laser Lounge Spa/ Aesthetics Lounge and Spa Brand. Ms. Arias is currently a student at Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida Southwestern State College. Before joining The Laser Lounge Spa team, she worked as a medical assistant for a podiatrist’s office.

Pelican’s Nest Golf Club at Pelican Landing announced that Head Professional Melissa Hatten has been named among Golf Digest’s annual list of “Best Teachers in Every State.” Ms. Hatten was ranked fourth in the state of New Mexico, where she had worked for the last two years before joining Pelican’s Nest Golf Club. She is a Class A member of both the PGA and LPGA and a PGA Certified Professional in golf operations, general management and instruction. Prior to joining Pelican’s Nest, Ms. Hatten was first assistant at The Club at Las Campanas in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her extensive resume also includes stints at Yellowstone Club and Rock Creek Cattle Company in Montana; Charlevoix Country Club and Birmingham Country Club in Michigan; and Catamount Ranch & Club in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Seagate Development Group has hired Brian Sarabacha as director of residential purchasing. A 13-year industry veteran, he started his career with 84 Lumber as an inside salesman and worked his way up to co-branch manager. This ultimately led to a purchasing manager position with American Builders Supply. Prior to joining Seagate, he was named assistant purchasing manager at Toll Brothers where he created product programs that resulted in consistent growth month over month.

Dr. Tracy Vo, internal medicine physician with Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida, has been elected president of the Lee County Medical Society for 2022. Dr. Vo opened her private practice in Cape Coral in 2002 and joined Physicians’ Primary Care in 2014. She is a graduate of the Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa., and received her doctorate in osteopathic medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. This was followed by an internship in osteopathic medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pa. and a residency in internal medicine at Sun Coast Hospital in Largo, Fla. ¦
